Karnataka PGCET-Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2018

Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2018 will be administered by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It is a state level entrance exam which is situated in Karnataka. This entrance exam conducted for admission in various post graduate degree programme courses Like- 1st year full time/part time MCA/MBA/M.Tech/M.Arch /ME, part time M.Tech (QIP) and 2nd year of MCA programme. And these courses are provided Government/Private un-aided/Private colleges situated in Karnataka.

Important Dates for Karnataka Entrance Exam 2018

  • Start Date for the submission of Application Form: 1st week of July 2018
  • End Date for the submission of Application Form: Last week of July 2018
  • Admit Card Download Releasing Date: In the month of August 2018
  • Start Date of Entrance Examination: August 2018
  • Declaration Date of Result: 3rd week of August 2018
  • Start Date of Counselling Session: 1st week of September 2018                              

Eligibility Criteria of Karnataka PGCET 2018

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Educational Qualification

For MBA courses Candidates (Full Time and Part Time)   

  • Interested and Eligible Candidates must have Qualified Bachelor Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized board with obtaining no less than 50% marks
  • SC/ST Category candidates must qualifying 45% marks in QE of the state of Karnataka.

For MCA courses Candidates

  • Applicant must have qualified Bachelor Degree or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics as one of the mandatory subjects with obtaining no less than 50% marks.
  • SC/ST Category-I candidates must qualifying 45% marks of the state of Karnataka.

For MCA (Lateral Entry)

  • Applicants must complete the qualifying examination with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level and bachelor degree in BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/ IT) from a recognized university with obtaining no less than 50% marks.
  • SC/ST Category-I candidates must qualifying 45% marks of the state of Karnataka.

For M.Tech/ ME/M.Arch courses Candidates

  • Applicant must qualifying examination with scoring an aggregate no less than 50% marks.
  • Moreover, candidate should possess a valid GATE 2018 Score.
  • 45% marks in QE for SC/ST & Category I of the state of Karnataka.

Application Procedure for Karnataka PGCET 2018

Interested and Eligible Candidates should fill the Karnataka PGCET online application through online mode only with Official Website: http://kea.kar.nic.in/

Applicants before filling the application form, candidates must read the instruction carefully and filled all the details carefully.

Applicants must have to upload their scanned signature, photograph & Left Hand Thumb Impression (in JPEG format).

Candidates must filled their correct E-mail address and mobile numbers for future correspondence.

Karnataka PGCET 2018 Application Fee Process

General and OBC Category Candidates have to pay their Application Fee: Rs. 650

SC/ST Category Candidates have to pay their Application Fee: Rs. 500

Note: Applicants can pay their application fee only through offline mode via using Bank Challan from any of the branch of specified banks.
