West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam-WBJEE 2018    

WBJEE 2018 Application Form has been announce from 19th December 2017. WBJEE 2018 is conducted for offering admission to the candidates in the UG courses of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is managed by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). It is a state level entrance exam through.

Start Date of Online Application Form Submission: 19th December 2017

Last Date of online Application Form Submission - 19th January 2018

Last date of downloading Confirmation Page: 24th January 2018

Window for correction by candidate: 26th to 28th January 2018

Admit Card Available From:  10th April 2018 (tentative)

Examinations Date:

Paper-I (Mathematics) [11:00 a.m. to 1.00 pm] - 22nd April 2018

Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry) [02.00 pm to 04.00 pm] – 22nd April 2018

Results Declaration - 05th June 2018 (tentative)

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for Reservation of Seats:

Reservation of seats for students Merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018

Applicable for candidates merit listed in the JEE-Main-2018 Seats are available for students merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018 up to the extent of 10% of the approved seats in all Self-Financed Engineering & Technology Colleges of West Bengal.

The eligibility and other criteria described in section 3 for admission to degree level Engineering / Technology /Pharmacy/Architecture courses, will be applicable for JEE (Main) 2018 merit listed candidates also.

Reservation of Seats for Admission under Mgt. Quota:-

This is applicable only for Self-Financing Colleges of the State offering B.E. /B.Tech./ B.Pharm / B. Arch. Courses. It is also applicable for courses running on self- financing basis under the University Institute of Technology, Burdwan University. Though, Institutions may or may not opt for admission of students under such quota.

10% Maximum sanctioned seats may be admitted under such management quota directly by the Concerned Management of those Institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2018:-

For Engineering Courses:

Candidates have to pass 10 2 examination from a recognized board. Applicants Passed in Physics & Mathematics along with one of the subjects Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/ Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects. For General Minimum 45% marks & 40% for SC/ST/OBC, PwD category in the above three subjects taken together. Candidate must pass English in the 10 2 examination with minimum 30% marks. Appearing Candidates can also apply.

For Pharmacy Courses:

Candidates should qualify the 10+2 examination from a recognized board. Applicant must qualify the above examination with Physics & Chemistry along with one of the subjects. Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics/ Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects. For General Minimum 45% marks & 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC, PwD category in the above three subjects taken together. Candidate must pass English in the 10+2 examination with minimum 30% marks. Appearing Candidates can also apply.

Age Limit for WBJEE 2018

Minimum age limit to appear is 17 (seventeen) years as on December 31, 2018. No upper age limit. In the case of Marine Engineering, the lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years, and upper age limit is 25 (twenty-five) as on 31st December 2017.

Nationality:

Candidates must be Indian nationals.

Application Fee Process

Application fee can be paid through offline and online methods. Applicants can pay application fee via Credit/Debit Card or through the challan of Allahabad Bank.

Type-E: Rs 500/- Bank’s service Charge.

Type-C: Rs 600/- Bank’s service Charge.

Important Notes:

Payment by Debit/Credit Card: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process; after successful payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page.

Registration amount fees to be pay for appearing is Rs.500/- plus the Banks Service Charges as applicable. The Examination Fees can be paid in cash less mode by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan.

Payment status is updated online. Sometime it may be delayed due to the Banks network delay/failure or transaction failure at the Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG).

Applicants will take a receipt printout and take it to the nearest Core Banking Service (CBS) facility enabled Branch of the Bank for making payment. After payment, the applicant has to login to the system and upload the information written on the e-Challan by the bank official.
