Ramanujan Fellowship 2018 for Scientists and Engineers

SERB, Science and Engineering Research Board- are invited for the Ramanujan Fellowship 2018 instituted by the Government of India. The scholarship is meant for excellent engineers & scientists from all over the world to take up scientific research positions in India. Fellowship provided those scientists/ engineers candidates who want to return to India from abroad. The fellowships are scientist -specific and very selective.

The Ramanujan Fellowship have worked with any of the scientific institutions and universities in the country and they would be eligible for receiving regular research grants through the extramural funding programms of various S&T agencies of the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria for Ramanujan Fellowship

Educational Qualification for Ramanujan Fellowship

Interested and Eligible applicant should have a higher degree or equivalent, such as Ph.D. in Science/Engineering, Technology or Masters in Engineering /MD in Medicine and have adequate professional experience.

Fellowship Only for those Candidates who have a proven/outstanding track-record as evident from their research publications and recognitions would be eligible.

Age limit for Ramanujan Fellowship

Eligible Candidates have 45 years maximum age limit.

Selection Procedure for Ramanujan Fellowship

Fellowship selection of the candidate for regular position in the Institute/university, the candidate has the option either to avail fellowship amount with research grant or salary from institute with research grant.

Duration Ramanujan Fellowship

The Scholarship duration will be 5 years, and not extendable.

Price Support

The fellowship price amount Per month will be Rs. 85,000/-

Ramanujan Fellowship 2018 will, in additional, received by research grant of Rs.7.00 lakh per annum (for research manpower, consumables, travel & contingencies etc.)

Important Date of Fellowship:- There is, thus, no last date for Fellowship nomination.

How to Apply for Ramanujan Fellowship

Interested and Eligible candidates can fill the nomination forms. For fellowship Application form there is no last date. Particular technologists and scientists can also approach the institutions of her/his choice for hosting them for the Fellowship and forwarding their nominations to SERB- Science and Engineering Research Board for the Fellowship.
