Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Government of NCT of Delhi invites applications for Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students (Class 1 to 12), Delhi 2020 from students studying in Class 1 to 12 of all government/aided/recognized public schools. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students. Selected students will receive up to INR 4,500 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
· Be a domicile of Delhi
· Belong to SC/ST/OBC/Minority community
· Be studying in class 1 to 12 in a government/aided/recognized public school
· Have an annual family income not exceeding INR 2 lakh
· Not be receiving any other scholarship
Class 1 to 8 (SC/ST/Minorities students)
· (No minimum marks criteria) – INR 1,000 per annum
OBC students (Class 6 to 8)
· (55% to 60% Marks in the previous class) - INR 600 per annum
· (above 60% Marks in the previous class) - INR 720 per annum
Class 9 to 10 (SC/ST/OBC/Minority)
· (55% to 60% Marks in the previous class) – INR 1,620 per annum
· (Above 60% Marks in the previous class) – INR 2,040 per annum
Class 9 to 12 (SC/ST/OBC/Minority students)
· (55% to 70% Marks in the previous class) – INR 3,000 per annum
· (Above 70% Marks in the previous class) – INR 4,500 per annum
Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Open the E-district portal.
Step 2: Login using
existing credentials or register as
a new user.
Step 3: Provide
all the relevant details and follow the instructions.
Step 4: Select
the scholarship scheme and upload the required documents.
Step 5: Submit
the application.
· Residence Proof
· Aadhaar Card
· Caste Certificate (for minority self-declaration)
· Income certificate (if applicable)
· Bank details of students (Aadhar seeded)
· Previous class mark sheet
· Fee structure ( if applicable)
· Fee receipt ( if applicable)
· Verification letter (for outside Delhi application)
All the candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be awarded the scholarship on the basis of academic merit.
Application deadline: 29th February 2020
· In the case of a minority student, a declaration by parent/guardian in the prescribed format that his son/daughter belongs to a particular minority community is required to be uploaded on the portal.
· Students should not opt for any centrally funded scheme along with the state-funded scheme.
· Student/ applicant will be responsible for any incorrect/incomplete information filled in the portal.
· System generated Login ID should be kept safely by the applicant for monitoring of their application on the e-district portal and e references.
