Cultural Talent Search Scheme CCRT Scholarship 2018

Centre for Cultural Resources and Training-CCRT New Delhi, under the aid of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India has released a applications for award of scholarship under CCRT-Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2018-19.

Cultural Talent Search Scholarship

The object of the programme is to give equipment to excellent talented children candidates selected in the age category of 10 to 14 years, studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional performing arts for getting specialized training in different cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, and literary arts, painting, dance, sculpture, crafts, drama, laying special emphasis on rare art forms, which are in the process of becoming extinct.

Scholarship Details

Subject to availability of funds, the maximum number of fresh fellowships to be awarded every year will be 650, of which 100 scholarships are marked for Scheduled Tribe/ Tribal Culture children, 125 seats are secured for children of families practicing traditional arts, etc.

The remaining 375 scholarships will be treated as general scholarships

Price Amount of Scholarship

a) The Amount of Fellowships will be Rs.3600/- per year.

b) The actual fee paid for the specialized training to the institute or to the Guru/teacher shall be reimbursed to the scholarship holder in addition to the value of scholarship indicated under (i) above, subject to a ceiling of Rs.9000/-

CCRT Merit 2018 Selection Process

For the short selections of Applicants to be via Test/ Interview, the CCRT- Centre for Cultural Resources and Training will constitute a Central Selection Committee, whose solution shall be final; only the shortlisted applicants will be informed by post about the dates, timings and venue of the Interviews/Tests, which may be conducted at Regional level during the months of May 2018 onwards.

The Applicants appearing for the Interviews / Tests for the award of new fellowship will be assessed /evaluated on the scale of one to ten marks by each expert committee members and children will be recommended for scholarship on the basis of total marks obtained by them, strictly in order of Merit.

Scholarship Scheme 2018 Duration

The fellowship Provided under the programme will be initially for 2 years at a time and is renewable after every 2 years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to the awardee maintaining satisfactory progress.

Candidates can apply for the CCRT fellowship Application and Other Information may be downloaded from the CCRT website :-www.ccrtindia.gov.in or collected free of cost personally/by post from any one of the following addresses Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, 15 A, Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075.

Application for the fellowship should be deposited by the guardians/ parents in the prescribed form in one art form only, after getting necessary recommendations from institution/ school and guru/teacher, where the applicant is studying and receiving training respectively, directly to the CCRT, New Delhi by 31st January 2018

CCRT Fellowship 2018 Eligibility Criteria:-

The excellent candidates in the age group of 10 to 14 years, studying in the recognized schools will be eligible to apply under the programme.

The Applicants who’s Guardians/ parents total monthly stipend is not more than Rs.8000/- only per month will be given preference for the award of scholarship. However, the eligible criteria of excellent and potential will be taken into acceptation for all the applicants.
