Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) 2018 Junior Research Fellowship Scheme

ICHR-Indian Council of Historical Research 2018 has given a information for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the Ph.D. Courses for the academic year 2018-19.

Junior Research Scholarship objective is to provide a chance to take the exam for the students of Ph.D. in History or its allied subjects and get a fellowship of Rs 16000 per month plus contingency grant of Rs 15000 per annum for a period of Two years. The fellowship is a whole-time engagement for research work and cannot be combined with any other whole-time or part-time work. The period of the fellowship is of two years.

The selected fellows will be awarded fellowship of 17600/- (Rupees seventeen thousand and six hundred only) per month plus contingency grant of Rs.16500/- (Rupees sixteen thousand and five hundred only) per annum for a period of Two years.

JRF Fellowship Terms:-

For a huge period of 2 years, extendable by 1 more year in special circumstances if recommended by the Research Projects Committee.

The Maximum numbers of Junior Research Fellowships to be awarded for the current year 2018-2019 are eighty (80) only, applying the usual reservation for SC/ST & PWD.

JRF Fellowship Important Dates:-

Online Submission of JRF Application begins on 14th December 2017

Last Date for Online Submission Form 14th January 2018

Last Date for Submitting Printouts of Applications Submitted Online: 24th January 2018

The JRF Exam will be held on 11th March 2018 (between 10.00 am & 01.00 pm)

Eligibility Criteria for JRF Fellowship:-
Educational Qualification 

An applicant who has registered in approved Universities for the Ph.D. program in History and its allied subjects are eligible to apply for the Fellowship (JRF).

The aspirants belonging to ST/ SC, physically challenged categories who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masters degree or equivalent exam are eligible for this fellowship and aspirants who are admitted to a Ph.D. program in History and its allied subjects can apply for Fellowship (JRF).

Application Procedure for JRF Scholarship:-

Candidates can apply Online Application Form and Offline mode. Applicant fills all the details carefully Candidates can check out all the details of JRF Scholarship Scheme 2018 through official website (www.ichr.ac.in).

Application Fees

The applicant can pay the Registration Fee is Rs.200/- through DD drew in favor of the DDO, ICHR, (payable at Delhi) (candidates belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PWD) category are exempted from payment of the fee).

Submission of application both online and the printout of the same along with computer generated unique ID number is mandatory. Hard copies of applications without unique Id number will not be accepted.
