National Programme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education- NSIGSE

National Programme of Secondary Education

The Aim is to Made an allow environment to minimize the drop-outs and to promote the registered of girl children, mainly belonging to SC/ST communities, in secondary schools.

Important Date for NSIGSE

End date of Online Application submission- 30 September 2018.

Throughout to the programme, a sum of Rs.3,000/- is deposited in the name of capable unmarried girls as fixed deposit on registered in class IX, who are entitled to withdraw it along with interest thereon on qualified 10th Class and attaining 18 years of age.

The Programme covers (i) all girls Child belongs to ST/SC communities who qualify class 8th and (ii) all girls Child who passed 8th exam from KGBV-Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (irrespective of whether they belong to SC/ST) and registered in class 11th in State Government, Government-aided and Local Body schools.

Union Bank of India /Indian Bank are the implementing Banks.

100% funds are given by the Central Government for the Scheme.

To be capable for the benefit under the programme the girl must be unmarried and should be below 16 years of age (as on 31st March) on joining class IX.

The benefit under the programme can be availed with any one other fellowship programme.

On adolescence, the incentive Money along with interest is shifted direct into bank accounts of Applicants Implement DBT mode by following banks through PFMS platform.

The recipient girls studying in Class IX need to apply under Pre Matric scholarship category.

The recipient girls are required to register as new user and then login to apply for incentive amount.

For pre-matric scholarship, only two applications can be submitted through one mobile.

The State Nodal officers are request to deposit the data/list of beneficiaries on NSP, collect form District Education Officer, after approving it, within a week after verification process is over.
