AFCAT Entrance Exam 2018

AFCAT 2018 notification has been released. AFCAT is commonly known as Air Force Common Admission Test. The AFCAT is an entrance test for the aspirants who want to join Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer in Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical). The exam is conducted by Indian Air Force twice in a year in the month of February and August. Advertisement in this regard will be published in the month of June and December. Interested candidates must apply online at official website before last date.

Important Dates for AFCAT Entrance Exam 2018

The notification in respect of AFCAT-I 2018 has been released by concerned authority. Candidates can check important dates in the table below.

Online application form availability-16th December 2017.

Last date to apply-23rd January 2018.

 

AFCAT 2018 Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for AFCAT Entrance Test

Flying Branch:

Candidate must have obtained 60% marks in graduation in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10 2 level or B.E./B. Tech. or

Must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1stJanuary, 1999.

Ground Duty (Technical):

Minimum 60% marks in graduation level in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10 2 level or

Completed four year graduation or integration PG in Engineering/Technology or

Minimum 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1stJanuary, 1999.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical):

Must secured 60% marks in Graduation level in any discipline and 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

The candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January, 1993 and not later than 1stJanuary, 1999.

Application Procedure for AFCAT 2018 Entrance Test

Interested and eligible Applicant can fill their Application Form for AFCAT. Applicant can filled Online Application Form through official Website- http://www.careerairforce.nic.in

Stage-I:

Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test will be conducted on the first day. Exam Test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. All Stage-I qualified candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the branches applied for. Applicant who either do not qualifey in Stage-I or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself

Stage-II:

Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview would commence after document check for the next five days

For Flying Branch:

Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test. Applicant who have missed the PABT/CPSS in an previous attempt test or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.

Application Fees Process for AFCAT

Conduct of Online Testing for AFCAT Exam and Fee Details - For the first time, online testing will be conducted for AFCAT entry in various AFCAT centres. Applicant apply for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs.250/- as examination fee.
