Joint Entrance Examination for Engineering (JEE) Main 2018

The CBSE has released the exam date for JEE Main 2018 Offline exam and application form. The exam will be conducted on 08th April 2018 and its application form is going to be accessible from 01st December 2017.

JEE is a top-Level Engineering Entrance Exam of India conducted by CBSE Board. The candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch Courses in NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions through JEE Mains, though IITs offer admission to these courses through JEE Advanced Examination.

Important Dates for JEE Main 2018:-

Release of CBSE JEE (MAIN) 2018 Notification: 20th November 2017

The Information Brochure for JEE Main released on 22nd November 2017

Last Date submitting for Commencement of Registration/Application: 01st December 2017

Practice Mock Test will be Available Form December 2017

Date of Online Submission of Application Form of JEE (Main): 01st January 2018

Last Date to Pay Application Fee: 02nd January 2018

Offline Pen and Paper Based JEE Main 2018 Exam Date: 08th April 2018

Online Computer Based JEE Main 2018 Exam Date: 15th & 16th April 2018 (expected)

Answer Key and Scanned OMR will be displayed from 24th to 27th April 2018

Objections against Answer Key will be accepted from 24th to 27th April 2018

Result Declaration on 30th April 2018

Declaration of Result of JEE Main Paper-II: 31st May 2018

JEE Main 2018 Reservation of Seats:-

As per Govt. of India rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

OBC if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) SC ST PwD with 40% or more disability

Eligibility Criteria JEE Main 2018

Educational Qualification for JEE Main 2018

Candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class exam or be in the top 20% in the 12th class exam conducted by the respective Boards.

For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class exam

For B.E. /B Tech - Required Criteria based on Class 12th/Equivalent qualifying Exam; passed 10 2 Exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.

B.Arch./B.Planning- Passed 10 2 Examination with Mathematics.

Age Limit for JEE Main:

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1993 are eligible. However, in the case of SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD applicants who are born on or after 01st October 1988 are eligible.

NOTE:

In 2015 who applicant Qualified Class 12th Exam or before as well as those who will appear in such exam in 2019 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2018

Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/ qualifying exam in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main) - 2018. The applicants who have taken four subjects are not approved to write and if such applicants appear by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared.

JEE Main Application Procedure 2018

Eligible Applicants can apply online for the JEE Main 2018 through official website. Interested Candidates can fill all details carefully through official website of JEE Main Entrance Exam 2018 official website http://jeemain.nic.in

Online submitting of Particulars, must be uploading of scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression.

Application Fee Payment can be made:-

Applicant can pay the application fees through Credit Card/Debit Card/e-wallet (SBI Buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan Generated during the online filling of the application form.

By e-challan payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank in cash. Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. After pay payment application fee is not refundable (full or partial) under any circumstances
